After qualifying as a welder, he joined one of the world’s leading industrial gases companies, delivering expert support, training, and consultancy to customers across multiple continents. His
With a career built entirely in the welding industry, he has developed a rare blend of hands‑on skill, technical authority, and global experience. After qualifying as a welder, he joined one of the world’s leading industrial gases companies, delivering expert support, training, and consultancy to customers across multiple continents. His roles included leading the welding technical support team and managing global cylinder and valve supply accounts.
His expertise spans welding, brazing, thermal processes, industrial gas safety, and high‑efficiency gas supply systems.
He also plays an active role in shaping industry standards through his membership of the BSI WEE/18Committee and the BCGA TSC3 Committee, contributing to the development of guidance on gas welding, cutting appliances, and gas control systems.
Alongside his industry work, he spent a decade as a welding and engineering lecturer, teaching both practical fabrication skills and advanced engineering theory to Higher National students.

As part of our consultancy services, Fishion Ltd provides on‑site gas safety audits, assessing the use and storage of gases at a customer’s premises. We identify any areas of concern and supply clear, actionable recommendations to improve safety and compliance. We also offer process audits to ensure the correct gases, equipment, and supply systems are being used for each customer’s specific applications.
In addition, we deliver practical welding, brazing, and thermal cutting training. These courses focus on correct equipment setup, safe operation, and essential techniques across a range of applications, ensuring operators gain both confidence and competence.
